The Girls Varsity Badminton team had an incredible 2025 season. With many graduating seniors, we had to establish foundational skills and understanding of the game right from the start. We depended heavily on our Varsity team to show up and lead, and that’s exactly what they did! 

At the end of regular season play, we earned second place for the playoffs with an 8-2 record and won against St. Mary’s. We then faced St. John the Baptist in the Championship match. Unfortunately, we fell short, but all Varsity team members earned accolades in all Varsity positions. 

This season was a true definition of teamwork and picking each other up when they needed it most. Meghan Butler and Paula Martinez Moron carried our entire team throughout the season and finished the regular season play with a perfect, undefeated record of 10-0. They came in 1st place in Varsity 1st Doubles. 

All our Varsity Singles players, Sojin Yu, Anna Gross, and Reilly Nolan, finished in 2nd place in their positions. In addition to our Singles players, Gabriella Gallagher, Audrey Nguyen, Isabella Vetri, Giada Carneglia, Gabriella Cesa, and Grace Durney finished in 2nd place in their Varsity Doubles positions. Furthermore, all 11 Varsity players were named All League for the 2025 season! This is truly a big accomplishment to have claimed so many league awards. 

We’d like to thank our as captains, Sojin Yu, Anna Gross (our only four-year player), Reilly Nolan, Meghan Butler, and Paula Martinez Moron, for their amazing leadership this season both on and off the court. Sojin, Anna, and Reilly led the team and dominated the singles court. 

Miss Roecklein would like to extend her gratitude to Miss Roveto and Miss Petrucci for all their hard work, dedication, and support throughout this season. Thank you for the long hours, your passion, and all the energy you pour into our players day in and day out. You both have pushed our athletes to be their best and challenged them to grow, and you’ve been there for them as coaches, mentors, and role models. 

We look forward to each girl's returning and further developing their skills in the 2026 season!
